Lake Mohawksin is a 1515 acre lake located in Lincoln County, with a maximum depth of 25 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings and three public beaches. One particular stretch of Mohawksin has earned the name “the Musky Mile,” and for that reason Musky Master Tournaments are held here throughout the summer. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. Lake Mohawksin is a part of the Wisconsin River System, cutting through the center of Tomahawk. The name “Mohawksin” is taken from the last syllable of the three rivers that feed the lake: the Somo, Tomahawk, and Wisconsin Rivers. The lake is situated mainly along Tomahawk’s west side, where residents can enjoy lake life and the convenience of being close to town.

The Kwahamot Water Ski Show makes its home in a stretch of Lake Mohawksin/Wisconsin River that runs along Memorial Park in the middle of Tomahawk. The Ski Show is an area favorite, and people come from far and wide to enjoy it all summer. The Kwahamots invite you to stop out and enjoy the show every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day, so don’t miss it!
