Nestled between Highway 51 and Highway 47, Tomahawk Lake sits alongside the town of Lake Tomahawk. Tomahawk Lake is a 3462 acre lake located in Oneida County. It has a maximum depth of 84 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from public boat landings, a public beach. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye. The lake’s water clarity is very clear.
The Tomahawk Lake and Little Tomahawk Lake are designated as Outstanding Resource Waters (ORW) by the Wisconsin DNR. Only 1 percent of all Wisconsin’s lakes, rivers, and streams have received this designation. We as an association promote and encourage land and water management practices that serve to maintain or enhance the ORW designation.
